    Atrema is Canadian-owned and locally rooted in Calgary. For more than 20 years, the focus has remained on supporting small and medium-sized businesses across North America with stable, dependable technology and long-term care.

Why Atrema Started

We began with a simple belief. Technology should support a business, not distract from it.

Christopher Hankel founded Atrema after seeing too many small and medium-sized businesses stuck reacting to IT problems. Support was inconsistent, ownership was unclear, and technology became something teams had to manage rather than rely on.

The goal was to create a different experience. One where smaller businesses had a trusted partner who took responsibility, communicated clearly, and stayed involved over time.

How We Have Grown

Over the last twenty years, Atrema has grown by working closely with businesses that valued consistency and long-term relationships. As technology evolved, the work expanded to include managed IT, cybersecurity, website development and hosting, and Microsoft 365.

What has remained the same is the mindset. Technology should work quietly in the background, and support should feel predictable and easy to live with. Growth came from showing up consistently, doing the work properly, and earning trust over time.
